Delta Jubilee

Po Monkey's

Wesley "Junebug" Jefferson had a second benefit show. this time at Po Monkey's in Merigold, MS.
This says it all.  Juke or jook or juk, are the real and passionate places to see blues music and the more heartfelt intimate way it was started over 10o years ago here in the delta.
Monkey him self rests during the show as a Curious George monkey hangs above him.

Happy Birthday Dad!!

I was lucky to be home this year when we celebrated my dads birthday.  He's a pretty swell guy.

These two pics are from an assignment I've given myself along with the help of Liz in the above picture.  Her father has let me stay in a cabin on their property for nearly nothing and as a thank you I'll be shooting the farm and it's daily doings and other shots and presenting it to Bobby as a thank you gift with words by his daughter Liz.  So here you go.  It's the famous Stovall Farms that Muddy Waters lived at before he moved up to Chicago.

laziness and an update

I've got a few thing to put up here.  I've been neglecting this.  Very counterproductive.  I'll work on that.  No excuses!!
