Kelly & Jared | Engagement Session | Quincy, Illinois

Kelly and Jared weren't extremely excited for their engagement pictures. So we started brainstorming ideas to do something different with the shoot. With talking with them, Jared is a huge gangster, 1920s, Boardwalk Empire fan. So we decided to have a 1920s inspired engagement shoot. More brainstorming led to the idea of a bank robbery and jail break. Talking with friends and family in the area, we gained access to an old bank, and the old Hannibal Prison. Yes that's right we had access to shoot in an old prison!! Very excited!

Alex & Lauren Wedding | Belleville, IL and St. Louis, MO

I first met Alex when I was out celebrating my recent engagement. He's also good friends with my future brother in law. We had a shot to celebrate, gave him my card and heard from Lauren and Alex a few weeks later. I was excited for this wedding for a long time! Then I was excited to finish editing the photos and share them. Without further ado Alex and Lauren English!!

How did you two meet? How long have you been together? How would you describe your overall wedding experience? What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?

 We first met through friends but it wasn't a good time for either of us. After a few years we reconnected at a friend's pirate party! 6 years. Absolutely fabulous! Seeing all of our friends and family and the happiness on everyone faces!!


Tell us about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?

 I had searched around several dress shops and looked online and found the perfect dress online and ordered it. I had it altered to fit several times and loved it!
