Tattoo Project

I started a project on a tattoo friend of mine, Doug of Oxford Tattoo. I am keeping it very under wraps at the moment and a very select few have seen cuts from the project. It plans to stay that way until I've edited it down and figured out the end plan. I had fun photographing Doug and I think he had fun too.
But here's a not the best one teaser everyone.

DELTA SUNRISE

I am actually running a few days behind schedule... but this is from friday morning. I got up uber early so I could catch that beautiful Delta Sunrise. I wasn't disappointed either. It's felt so good to be down here. Strange and so happy to be back. Some things change and some things don't ever change. And I love that about this area.

I remember in college coming home, and half the block at my parents house was new people and there were four new restaurants moved into the area. So weird and strange to see the urban sprawl coming to my hometown but from an outsider too.

Clarksdale, is slowly growing but not too fast for its britches, as the saying goes. I love that about it. There's no Starbucks in town. However, a friend is opening up a coffee shop/deli/art gallery/used book store/music venue and the coffee will be fresh and from Australia. I am excited for her. You go Rosalind!!

I felt so warm driving back down here, texted some friends once I made it back into the state, and got great responses back and even a phone call from one.

Welcome Home to the Durrty Souf!!!!

Outside Como, MS

Something really fascinates me with burnt out homes. How quickly the devastation can come is big. I was taking some photos and a guy asked if I was with the Insurance company. Taking pictures of burnt buildings for a living, hm...

Music

Music from Friday day and night. You don't see too many violins in blues bands, but this was very good. I liked them but fail to remember their name. D-oh!!!
