RL Boyce

This is RL Boyce.  He plays the Hill Country Style of Blues.  He was quite the entertainer.  He drank a fair amount on the ride over so by the time he started playing, he was already slurring words.  He made for quite the entertainer the whole night.

RL told me he was going to kill me if I took another pic of him, then he would wink at me.

Red thinks that he is calming down so no wis a good time to give RL some moonshine

At some point some 20 year old young white girl came in.  RL called her up "Say you look pretty why don't you come up here a second." So she walked up and took his hand.  RL said, "Why don't you turn around and let me see you."  She turned around and RL shook his head and  said, "Well you ain't that cute no mo'."  I don't understand this as she was wearing a loose flowing dress and not something tight where you could see her curves or lack of curves.  I'm not sure what he was looking for anyways.  Her boyfriend didn't really know how to react to that comment and nor did she.  I think it went way over her blonde head.

Pick Up Sticks

I threw stale pasta in my yard.  Some landed sticking up and it reminded me of Pick Up Sticks.  Over night it rained and the past got all loosey.  I woke up the next morning and saw two dogs eating the past out in my yard.  When I got my camera and went outside the dogs got scared.

Flower

This is something from my garden.  I don't know what it is though.

Joe

This is Joe.  He enjoys R&B and Blues.  He likes to sit on his porch and listen to the Blues.

Dublin, MS

I started working on a house down in Dublin, MS for Bill T.  It is in a bit of need for some repairs.  What do you think??

Orange

This woman made the whole festival for me.  Her outfit is amazing!!

Jake Leg Stompers

The Jake Leg Stompers play out on the street in front of Cathead.  They do a wonderful pre-war style of music.  (That's pre WW I).

Riverman

John Ruskey runs his own canoe company and takes people out on the MS River.  It's a really great time and well worth the money.  He carves his own canoes and is really nice.  He has taken on a few apprentices' kids from the neighborhood.

This is Jimmy "Duck" Holmes.  He plays the blues that came out the Benetobia area.  He's good.

Updated.

I've been a little busy lately.  I decided to stick around Clarksdale and am currently working construction for the Shack Up Inn peoples.  They just had a shack delivered today.  That'll be fun to cause havoc in there.  My parents came down for the Sunflower Festival about a week and half ago.  Fun stuff.  I'll start off with this one of Muzz.  He came in the night from Arizona.  I'm going to start doing a regular portrait of interesting individuals I find in the community.
